Family Lives In A Cob House Under A Futuristic Geodesic Dome In The Arctic Circle

A lot of people talk about it, but the Hjertefølger family actually did it! They dropped out of society and live their own inspiring sustainable way of life.

On Norway’s Sandhornøya island, located in the Arctic Circle with extreme weather conditions, they built their own cozy oasis – their cob home with three stories – made from clay, sand, water and other organic materials. An additional dome around their house, protects the family from wind and snow and they’re even able to grow their own veggies and fruits! That’s a smart way of living.
