Who we are
This privacy policy covers Tranquil Monkey. You can reach us at hello@tranquilmonkey.com about anything on this page.
What we collect
If you leave a comment, we store the name, email address and comment text you typed, plus your IP address and browser user agent, which are used for spam filtering. If you email us, we keep that email so we can reply. Our host keeps standard server access logs that include IP addresses.
We do not ask for, and have no way to receive, payment details on this site.
Cookies
If you leave a comment you can choose to save your name, email address and website in a cookie so you do not have to type them again. If you log in as an author, WordPress sets session cookies. That is all this site sets on its own.
Analytics and other services
We do not currently run third-party analytics on this site. If we add it, this page will be updated to name the provider before it goes live. Embedded content from other websites, such as a video, behaves exactly as if you had visited that website, and those sites set their own cookies.
Links to other sites
We link out to sources and to products we mention. We do not currently earn a commission on any of those links. If that ever changes, the disclosure will appear on the article itself as well as here.
How long we keep things
Comments and their metadata are kept indefinitely so follow-up comments can be recognised and approved automatically. Emails you send us are kept while the conversation is useful and deleted after that.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to erase it. Email hello@tranquilmonkey.com and we will action it. Erasure does not cover data we are required to keep for legal or security reasons.
Changes
If this policy changes, the updated version replaces this page and the change date below moves with it.
